Patriotism in Action: How CMR Gandhi Public school Students Celebrated Independence Day

SHARE

Independence Day is a significant celebration for every Indian—a day to honour the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and reflect on our nation’s defining values. For students, it’s not just about celebrating freedom but also about understanding the responsibility it entails. At CMR GPS, we are dedicated to instilling a profound sense of patriotism in our students through meaningful celebrations and activities.

A Day of Preparation and Excitement

Independence Day was approaching, and the school was buzzing with preparations. Tricolours, posters, and patriotic decorations filled the classrooms and corridors as students and teachers worked together to create a proud and celebratory atmosphere.

The Grand Flag Hoisting Ceremony

The day began with the solemn and significant flag-hoisting ceremony. Our Chief Mentor, Raj Kumar Sir, IAS(R), MBBS and MBA had the honour of hoisting the national flag, setting the tone for the day’s celebrations and reminding everyone of the importance of national integrity and the sacrifices made for our freedom.

Cultural Programs: A Tribute to the Nation

Independence Day at CMR GPS is not just about ceremonies; it’s about celebrating the spirit of India through cultural expressions. The artistic program that followed the flag hoisting showcased our students’ talents, with our school leaders displaying discipline and unity during the march past.

The students showcased spectacular performances featuring patriotic songs and dances that honoured our nation’s diversity and cultural wealth. Each presentation reflected the students’ deep love for their country and profound appreciation of its rich cultural heritage. Spanning classical dances to contemporary interpretations of patriotic music, the cultural program beautifully underscored the essence of unity in diversity.

Investiture Ceremony: A Day of Leadership

The Investiture Ceremony was held with the Independence Day celebrations, marking a significant occasion where newly appointed student leaders were entrusted with their responsibilities.
