World Environment Day is celebrated annually on June 5th 2024 to raise global awareness about environmental protection and encourage actions to safeguard our planet. The day serves as a reminder of the importance of preserving nature and promoting sustainable practices. This year, CMR Gandhi Public School embraced the theme by engaging students in various eco-friendly activities. The celebration included Vermi composting workshops, where students learned the benefits of organic waste recycling. Additionally, children planted seeds, fostering a sense of responsibility towards nature. To further instil environmental values, students created beautiful drawings depicting nature and ways to protect it. These activities not only educated students about environmental conservation but also inspired them to become proactive in caring for our planet. The school’s commitment to holistic education was evident as students combined learning with hands-on experiences, reinforcing the significance of environmental stewardship.
